ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) will conclude the hearing of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) cases and the ruling is expected to be announced today (Wednesday).
Yesterday, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented before the 17-member larger bench of SC, being headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, the record of Geneva court proceedings and a report regarding Swiss Bank Accounts while Attorney General Malik Qayyum told SC the letter, requesting to end Swiss Cases, was written in consultations with Pervez Musharraf and Farooq H Naiq.
Once again the federation and provincial governments reiterated their assertion of not backing NRO during yesterday’s proceedings of SC while later, court advised Abdul Hafeez Pirzada for final arguments.
